Robinson Named WAC Runner of the Week

Tulsa, Okla. - Freshman track and field athlete Shana Robinson earned Western Athletic Conference Runner of the Week honors for her effort this past weekend at the Sooner Invitational in Norman, Okla.

Robinson, a native of Tulsa, Okla., broke her own school record in the 60-meter dash for the fourth consecutive week. In a tune-up before the WAC Championships to be held Feb. 22-24, Robinson placed third at the Sooner Invitational on Feb. 17. In a 20-participant field, the freshman sprinter clocked a time of 7.51, the second fastest time in the conference this season, and finished behind two NCAA qualifying times.
