Hurricane Track Teams Prepare for WAC Championships

Tulsa, Okla. - The next meet for the Golden Hurricane track squads will be the WAC Indoor Championships in Reno, Nev., starting Thursday and going until Saturday, Feb. 22-24.
The women's squad has 17 athletes listed among the top-ten of the 17 events at the championships. Senior Tiffaney Williams leads the way with a conference leading 54.94 in the 400-meters. Freshman sensation Shana Robinson clocked the second best time in the WAC for the 60-meters with a school-record time of 7.51. She also has the third best time for the 200-meters with a time of 24.44. Senior Kendra Lollis has the third best time in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.80. Sophomore Jamese James is currently fifth with a time of 9.06.
On the men's side, 17 athletes are listed in the top-10 of their event as well. Senior Shawn McCullough leads the way for the men. The defending outdoor 800m WAC Champion, is currently ranked fifth for the indoor 800m with a time of 1:51.54. Sophomore Josh Moseby is ranked fourth in the 5,000-meters with a time of 15:48.15. The Golden Hurricane's 4x400-meter relay team is also fourth in the conference with a time of 3:16.35.
