Tulsa Golfers Finish in Seventh Place at The Intercollegiate

Chapel Hill, North Carolina - The Tulsa men's golf team finished in seventh-place at The Intercollegiate in Chapel Hill, North Carolina on Sunday. The Hurricane shot a final round 12-over par 300 to finish at nine-over par 873 for the tournament.
Tulsa carded 285 and 288 in the first two rounds at the par-72 Finley Golf Course, but had one of only two rounds over 300 today.
Duke scored its second straight round of 287 as a team to capture medalist honors with an eight-under par 856 score, while Wake Forest placed second overall at six-under 858. Rounding out the top-five teams in the 12-team field was third-place North Carolina, North Carolina State and Augusta State.
For Tulsa, freshman David Inglis turned in his 10th top-20 finish of the season with a 14th-place performance. Inglis shot a final round 73 to finish at even-par 216 for the 54-hole tournament. Three more Hurricane freshmen followed Inglis lead, as Chris Noel placed 23rd with a three-over par 219 after a 75 today. Neil Trimm and Logan Goettsch each carded 76's today and finished 32nd and 33rd, respectively. Trimm finished at five-over par 221, while Goettsch had a three-round total of six-over par 222.
Junior Kevin Henry carded a final round 77 and placed 53rd overall with a 229 total. The individual medalist was Duke's Kevin Streelman, who carded a seven-unde par 209.
The Hurricane is back in action next weekend, April 20-21, at the Ben Hogan Cougar Golf Classic in Provo, Utah.
