Ames, Iowa - The University of Tulsa women's track team qualified another event for the NCAA Indoor Championships as the 4x400m relay team set a school record with a time of 3:39.76, also provisionally qualifing for the national championships. The time eclipsed the previous school best by .38 of a second, which was set during the 2000 season.
Sophomore Shana Robinson also continued her success breaking her own school record in the 60m dash and narrowly missing an NCAA Championship qualifing time. By finishing third in the final with a time of 7.45, Robinson bettered her time of 7.48 in the prelimenaries. There were 69 runners in the event.
Junior Monica Joannes broke her own school record as well with a time of 2:09.15 and finished fourth out of 70 runners.
Robinson also finished fourth out of 88 runners in the 200m. Freshman Natalie Rasmussen finished eighth in the 5,000m to set a personal-best time of 17:35.66. The time also ranks second in TU history, only behind former All-American and WAC Champion Fride Vullum.
