Tulsa's Noel Named WAC Golfer of the Week

Lafayette, Louisiana - The University of Tulsa's Chris Noel has been selected as the Western Athletic Conference men's golfer of the week, announced today by the league office.

Noel, a sophomore from Tulsa, Okla., had his best performance of the season with a fifth-place finish in a field of 81 golfers at the Louisiana Classics in Lafayette, Louisiana. Noel carded rounds of 75-71-70 for an even-par 216. He helped the Golden Hurricane to their third top-two finish in as many events. It is the first time since 1998 that Tulsa has accomplished that feat.

Tulsa's next tournament is scheduled for April 6, when the Hurricane will compete in the Cleveland Golf/Augusta State Invitational in Augusta, Georgia.
