Chapel Hill, North Carolina - The Tulsa men's golf team is in 11th place after wo rounds at The Intercollegiate in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. The Hurricane shot rounds of 294-286 for a four-over par 580 score in the 12-team field at the par-72 Finley Golf Course.
As a team, the Hurricane sits 22 strokes out of first place. Host North Carolina has the 36-hole lead after an 18-under par 558 today, followed by Wake Forest's 559, Minnesota at 560, North Carolina State at 561 and fifth-place Vanderbilt at 568.
Individually, Tulsa sophomore David Inglis carded a 36-hole total of three-under par 141 and is tied for 16th place. Inglis shot rounds of 73 and a four-under par 68 in his second of two rounds today. Fellow sophomore Neil Trimm shot a 75 in the first round, and in the afternoon carded a two-under par 70 for his 34th place score of one-over par 145.
Rounding out Tulsa's scores was sophomore Chris Noel and senior Kevin Henry's three-over par 147 rounds for 42nd place. Noel had rounds today of 74 and 73, while Henry carded a 72 and 75. Billy Lowry's 151 total was good for 54th place.
Vanderbilt's Brandt Snedeker and Bill Haas of Wake Forest are tied for the individual lead with 10-under par rounds of 134.
Competition will finish on Sunday with the final 18 holes.
