Tulsa Men Place Fifth at The Maxwell Intercollegiate

Ardmore, Oklahoma - The Tulsa men's golf team finished in fifth-place in the 12-team field at the Perry Maxwell Intercollegiate at the Dornick Hills Country Club on Sunday. The Hurricane fired a final round 11-over par 291 for a 34-over par 874 total.
Oklahoma State captured the tournament title with a 13-over par 853, followed by Houston (857), Oklahoma (859), Texas (864) and Tulsa rounding out the top-five teams.
The Hurricane was led by junior Billy Lowry, who turned in another top-10 performance at The Maxwell. Lowry finished with a career-best sixth-place performance, one place better than last year's seventh-place finish at the same event. He carded a final round even-par 70 today, and finished with a two-over par score of 212, just five strokes behind individual medallist Brett Callas of Houston.
Sophomore David Inglis and senior Kevin Henry turned in 31st place performances with 12-over par scores of 222. Inglis carded a two-over par 72 today, while Henry shot a 74. Sophomores Chris Noel and Neil Trimm finished in 39th and 45th place, respectively. Noel finished with a score of 225, followed by Trimm's 226.
Aaron Bell, a Tulsa redshirt freshman, played as an individual and finished in a 14th place tie with a seven-over par 217. He scored a final round 74 today.
Tulsa will be in action beginning this Thursday, May 16, at the NCAA Central Regional in Little Rock, Arkansas. The 54-hole regional will conclude on Saturday, May 18.
