Sophomore Aaron Bell finished 27th to lead the Hurricane at the Cleveland Golf Kiawah Island Intercollegiate.

The Tulsa men's golf team finished in 11th place at the Cleveland Golf Kiawah Island Intercollegiate. The Hurricane finished with a 54-hole total of 914, following a round of 305 on Tuesday at the par-72 Turtle Point Golf Course. The Hurricane carded earlier rounds of 313 and 296.

Sophomore Aaron Bell had Tulsa's top finish of 27th place, while junior Chris Noel and senior Billy Lowry also placed among the top-50. Noel finished in 39th place, while Lowry placed 42nd overall. Bell carded a three round total of 226, followed by Noel's 231 and Lowry's 232.

Senior Marc Zien had a 54-hole total of 236 for 60th place, while junior Neil Trimm placed 76th overall.

For the tournament, host College of Charleston held on for an eight-shot victory over Mississippi. Rounding out the top five teams were Virginia Tech, Alabama and Baylor. Charleston's Bruce McDonald captured the individual title with a final round 69 for a 214 total.

Tulsa is in action next at the Jim Colbert Intercollegiate, Sept. 30-Oct. 1, in Manhattan, Kansas.
