WACO, Texas - Aaron Karas threw for a touchdown and ran for another as Baylor held on to beat Tulsa 37-25 on Saturday to stretch the nation's longest losing streak to 14 straight games.

Karas set up two touchdowns with passes to Reggie Newhouse, sneaked 2 yards for a TD and found Marques Roberts with a 51-yard scoring pass.

The Bears (2-2) drove 85 yards for a touchdown against Tulsa (0-4) on their first possession. A 35-yard pass from Karas to Newhouse put the Bears in position for Vince Copeland's 12-yard touchdown run on a reverse.

Karas' 16-yard pass to Newhouse set up Baylor's second touchdown, a 7-yard run by junior college transfer Rashad Armstrong.

Baylor barely had time to celebrate before Tulsa quarterback Tyler Gooch hooked up with Germaine Landrum on a 78-yard pass-and-run. Tulsa missed the extra point to trail 14-6.

Karas ran 2 yards for a touchdown, Daniel Andino kicked a 37-yard field goal, and Karas hit Roberts in full stride as Baylor jumped out to a 30-6 halftime lead.

But the Golden Hurricane made it respectable in the second half.

Tulsa defensive end Cory Hathaway intercepted a pass and scored from 5 yards out to start the third quarter. A field goal and a 4-yard TD reception by Romby Bryant rallied the Golden Hurricane.

Tulsa got to the Baylor 7 in the final minute, but Gooch lost a fumble to end any hopes of a comeback by Tulsa.

Jonathan Golden scored on an 11-yard touchdown run in the second half for the Bears, his seventh of the season.
