Volleyball Squad Concludes Season at Arkansas

Fayetteville, Ark. - The University of Tulsa volleyball squad closed out the 2003 season with a 3-1 loss at Arkansas in Fayetteville, Ark., on Friday night, 3-1 (30-24, 30-22, 29-31, 32-30).
Three Golden Hurricane players posted double-figure kill performances. Freshman Amy Meyer led the Hurricane attack with 14 kills. Fellow freshman Brie Penaluna contributed 13 kills, while junior Kristin Bailey added 11 kills.
Sophomore Evyn Bandy handled the setting duties for TU with 41 assists and 12 digs. Meyer also led the team with 18 digs on evening, to go along with a team-best four service aces. Junior Patricia Marques added 12 digs, also.
Tulsa finishes the season with an 11-17 overall record, following a 2-11 finish in the Western Athletic Conference and an eighth-place seed in the conference tournament.
