Tulsa Beats Up On Boise St., 71- 55

TULSA, Okla. (AP) - Kevin Johnson scored a season-high 26 points to lead Tulsa to a 71-55 victory over Boise State on Thursday night.
Johnson was 10-of-14 from the field, including 5-of-7 from 3-point range, as the Golden Hurricane (13-8, 6-6 Western Athletic Conference) avenged a 78-74 loss to the Broncos on Jan. 18.
Tulsa led by as many as 29 in the second half before settling for the 16-point victory. Jason Parker added 15 points and five assists.
Boise State (10-12, 4-8) was led by Aaron Haynes with 12 points, all in the second half. C.J. Williams had 11 points and Bryan Defares 10.
Johnson was only 6-of-27 from 3-point range entering the game. But he capped a 15-3 first-half run with a 3-pointer to give Tulsa a 29-15 advantage at halftime.
Johnson made three shots from behind the arc in scoring 13 points in the first seven minutes of the second half as the Hurricane pushed the lead to 49-26.
Boise State was just 5-of-25 from the field in the first half and finished 20-of-58 for the game.
