Track Teams Compete in Tyson Invitational

Fayetteville, Ark. - Both of The University of Tulsa track teams competed in the Razorback-Tyson Invitational on Friday and Saturday in Fayetteville, Ark.
Senior Monica Joannes was the top placer for the women, placing fourth in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:11.16. Sophomore Justin Rempel was the top finisher for the men with an eighth place finish in the mile run with a season-best 4:09.90.
Sophomore Melanie Hardy also placed fifth in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:13.29, while freshman Megan Langwell also placed fifth in the mile run with a time of 5:05.31.
The Golden Hurricane will be off for two weeks, preparing for the Western Athletic Conference Indoor Championships in Reno, Nev., on Feb. 28-Mar. 1.
