Tulsa, Oklahoma - The Tulsa football team had its 11th spring workout on Friday afternoon in 70-degree temperatures at Skelly Stadium. The two-hour workout was a tune-up for tomorrow's second scrimmage of the spring season.
"We're progressing and giving good effort. There was a little heat today that we had to battle through, comparatively speaking when you have a 45-degree temperature change between Wednesday morning and this afternoon," said Tulsa Head Coach Steve Kragthorpe.
Kragthorpe expects to put his team through an 85-play scrimmage on Saturday morning, increasing the play count from 65 a week ago.
"We've had a chance to install more things, so we'll be able to look at more in tomorrow's scrimmage and re-evaluate where we're at after 12 days of practice," said Kragthorpe. "I think we're making progress at all positions. We'll turn the lights on tomorrow morning, and see how they react to more game day situations."
Tulsa will be back on the practice field at 10:00 a.m. for a Saturday morning scrimmage at Skelly Stadium.
