Tulsa Wins Sprint Medley at Drake Relays

Des Moines, Iowa - The University of Tulsa's sprint medley relay team won the event at the 94th annual Drake Relays on Saturday, in school record fashion. The team of Shana Robinson, Paula Richardson, Jamese James, and Monica Joannes paced the field of 24 teams with a mark of 3:47.62, breaking the school record by nearly 10 seconds.
The previous record of 3:57.00 was set at the 93rd annual Drake relays by the team of Robinson, Richardson, Alisha Burnett and Joannes.
The women's 4x800-meter relay team also broke a school record on Saturday. The team of Chatney Noble, Melanie Hardy, Megan Langwell and Monica Joannes finished third with a time of 8:49.13, in a field of 16 teams. The previous mark was set last season at the Texas Relays, by the team of Noble, April Johnson, Hardy and Joannes.
