Tulsa Completes First Day of Preseason Camp

Coach Kragthorpe was happy with the effort as the Hurricane begins preseason drills.

Tulsa, Oklahoma - The University of Tulsa football team completed its first day of preseason workouts with a two-hour practice Wednesday night at Harwell Field on the TU campus.

Head Coach Steve Kragthorpe was pleased with the first practice session. "We were a little rusty, but I was happy with the effort and we came back in shape. We have a long way to go, but as the old saying goes, ' Rome wasn't built in a day'."

"Offensively, we made some plays in the passing game, but it's hard to evaluate this early in camp. Our timing was good for not being out on the practice field for 3 1/2 months," added Kragthorpe.

Tulsa will be back on the practice field Thursday night.
