Robinson Wins Second Meet of the Season

Tulsa, Okla. - Senior sprinter Shana Robinson likes running in the Randal Tyson Track Complex. One week removed from winning the 200-meters at the Arkansas Invitational, Robinson won the 60-meters at the Razorback Invitational on Saturday in Fayetteville, Ark.
The Tulsa, Okla., product qualified for the 60-meters final with the top-time in preliminaries. She then bettered that time with a mark of 7.48 in the finale. On Friday night, Robinson finished second in the 200-meters as well. TU's women's 4.400-meter relay team also won top honors on Saturday with a time of 3:46.55, on Saturday.
Senior-transfer Mikaela Montell finished third in the women's 800-meters with a time of 2:17.59. The Helsinki, Finland native, finished just ahead of freshman Amy Reeves. Reeves posted a fifth place finish with a time of 2:20.76. Also finishing among the top-three was junior Melanie Hardy with a third place finish in the 400-meters with a mark of 57.46.
A pair of Hurricane women posted fourth place finishes on Saturday. Sophomore Shameka Hollaway finished fourth in the 400-meters with a time of 58.42. Senior Suzanne Smith-Hogg finished fourth in the pole vault with a jump of 3.06m (10'0.5")
On the men's side, freshman Cory Ray finished third in the 60-meters with a time of 6.90. Junior Josh Childs finished fifth in the 400-meters with a time of 48.46, the third best time in school history.
The men's 4x400-meter relay team finished second with a time of 3:17.23, as well.
