Hurricane Men Defeat ORU in Cross Country Dual

Tulsa, Okla. - Freshman Joel Stansloski was the top collegiate finisher, second overall, with a time of 26:25.07 at the Subway ORU Classic on the ORU campus on Saturday, to lead The University of Tulsa men's team past the Golden Eagles 20-37.
It was the first time this season Stansloski had led the Hurricane harriers. TU finished with three top-five finishers and six of its seven runners finished in the top-10. Junior Taylor Williams finished third overall with a time of 26:38.07. Freshman Brett Turowski finished fifth with a mark of 27:00.32. TU's lone senior, Derek Smith finished seventh with a time of 27:23.68, just ahead of freshman Jason Schwitzer who posted a mark of 27:47.84 in eighth place.
Freshman Tad Schoedel finsihed 10th overall with a mark of 28:18.87, while fesllow freshman Nolan Jenkins closed out the TU runners with a time of 31:01.13 for 15th place.
Both of the Golden Hurricane cross country teams will return to action on Saturday, Oct. 16th, at the Chile Pepper Festival in Fayetteville, Ark.
