Lincoln, Neb. - Freshman Louis Dailey became the first TU male athlete to ever compete in the Heptathlon, by competeing in the event durnig the opening day at the Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational on Friday in Lincon, Neb.
Dailey finished 12th in the 60-meter hurdles with a season-best time of 7.73. The Hominy, Okla., native's best finishes came in the high jump and long jump, where he finished fifth. In the long jump, Dailey posed a final jump of 6.45m (21-02.0). In the high jump, he recorded a leap of 1.86m (6-1.75).
In his final event of the day, Dailey posted a shot put of 11.22m (36-9.75) to finish ninth.
