Lincoln, Neb. - Senior sprinter Shana Robinson won her third consecutive 60-meters on Saturday at the Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational in Lincoln, Neb. The Tulsa, Okla., native also provisionally qualified for the NCAA Indoor Championships for the event in a season-best time of 7.44. Robinson, one of the country's fastest runners, has qualified for the NCAA Championships for the 60-meters and the 200-meters. She is currently ranked ninth in the 60-meters according to Trackwire.com.

The Golden Hurricane also set 15 season-best marks at the meet which featured teams from Alabama, East Carolina, Florida State, Georgia, Iowa, Kansas, Kansas State, Kentucky, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Carolina, Oral Roberts, Purdue, Southwest Missouri State, Tennessee, Tulsa, UTEP, Washington State and Wyoming.

Transfer Mary Carr turned in a season-best performance in the 60-meters with a time of 7.93, while fellow transfer Mikaela Montell also posted a season-best time in the mile run with a mark of 4:59.06. Sophomore Shameka Holloway's time of 57.99 in the 400-meters, along with sophomore Michelle Rodgers time of 59.39, were season-best marks as well.

Carr was one of three TU women to set season-best marks in the 200-meters. Freshman Chantelle Willard's time of 25.16 was just ahead of Carr's mark of 25.22. Fellow freshman Ashley Holly also improved her best time with a 26.99 finish.

Junior Natalie Rasmussen posted a time of 10:26.80 in the 3,000-meters to improve her season-best time by nearly 15-seconds. The women's 4x400-meter relay team of Paula Richardson, Chatney Noble, Melanie Hardy and Willard also recorded the team's top time of the year with a time of 3:45.29.

On the men's side, junior Josh Childs and sophomore Justin Lee posted the Hurricane's top times of the year for the 200-meter and the 600-yard runs, respectively. Childs posted a time of 22.20, edging out a season-best performance by Cory Ray who finished with a time of 22.33. Lee recorded a time of 1:14.09.

Senior Ben Orozco posted a personal-best time of 4:16.48 in the mile run, while junior Justin Rempel posted a season-best time of 8:45.61 in the 3,000-meters. Freshmen Tad Schoedel and Jason Schweitzer also recorded season-best times. Schoedel finished with a time of 1:57.32 in the 800-meters, while Schweitzer finished with a time of 8:52.33 in the 3,000-meters.

The Golden Hurricane return to action on Feb. 13-14 at the Tyson Invitational in Fayetteville, Ark. The Tyson will be the third meet of the season for TU at the Randal Tyson Track Complex.
