Tulsa, Okla. - The University of Tulsa football team met the media on Wednesday afternoon at the Annual Football Media Day. The Golden Hurricane has been on the practice field since Monday night and will continue workouts Wednesday evening on Harwell Field. Tulsa is coming off of an 8-5 season,a second place finish in the Western Athletic Conference and the school's first bowl game in 12 years. Tulsa returns eight starters on offense and eight starters on defense. A total of 100 players reported to camp on Sunday, including 65 returning players and 35 newcomers. Among the newcomers 19 are scholarship players and 16 are walk-ons. As expected, senior quarterback James Kilian was the most requested student-athlete for media interviews today. The tight end combination of Caleb Blankenship and Garrett Mills, and defensive players Clint Rountree and Nick Bunting had numerous interview requests as well.
