Tulsa, Oklahoma - The Tulsa Golden Hurricane used a 17-point performance from Charles Ramsdell and a 48-percent shooting night to capture a 71-62 victory over the Central Oklahoma Bronchos in the final tune-up of the exhibition season.

UCO scored the first two points of the game and had as much as a four-point lead, before Tulsa took the lead 8-7 at the 15:00 mark of the first half and didn't trail again until the second half.

Morgan Williams' three-pointer put the Bronchos ahead by one point, 37-36, with 15:41 remaining in the contest. Tulsa responded with a 6-0 run as Darold Crow, Anthony Price and Ramsdell connected on short baskets to give the Hurricane a 42-37 lead. .

Three points was as close as OCU would cut into the lead the rest of game at 42-39 at the 13:21 mark. From there, Tulsa went on an 18-5 run to take its biggest lead of the game, 59-44 with 4:58 remaining to play. Tulsa made 5-of-9 free throws down the stretch.

Price added 12 points and six rebounds, with all 12 points and five rebounds coming in the second half. Freshman Ray Reese added nine points and four rebounds, while sophomore Brett McDade also added nine points and grabbed six boards for the Hurricane.

Tulsa opens the regular season on Saturday against Stephen F. Austin at the Donald W. Reynolds Center, at 4:00 p.m.
