Hardy Misses Finals in 800-meters at NCAA Championships

Fayetteville, Ark. - Tulsa senior Melanie Hardy ran the tenth fastest time in the women's 800-meter run at the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championship in Fayetteville, Ark., Friday. Hardy's time of 2:08.01 was third fastest in the first heat, but does not qualify her for the finals in the 800-meter.

Hardy, from Jamaica, N.Y., has recorded four school records this indoor season, in three different distances. Hardy has the record in the 600-meter dash, the 800-meter run, twice, and the 1,000-meter run.
