Tulsa, Oklahoma - University of Tulsa alumni and fans can now see Golden Hurricane football action the remainder of the season from near and far, thanks to Conference USA's television partner CSTV (College Sports Television) and KWHB-TV47 in Tulsa (Channel 7 on Cox Cable).
KWHB-TV 47 will produce six of the remaining seven Tulsa football games, while the seventh, Southern Mississippi, is a nationally televised CSTV broadcast. KWHB will air Tulsa's three remaining home games -- Houston, SMU and East Carolina -- on a tape delay basis in the Tulsa-area. The station will broadcast live back to Tulsa three road games including Rice, UTEP and Tulane.
This week's Tulsa-Houston game will be tape delayed on KWHB-Channel 47 (Cox Channel 7) at 10:00 p.m. The home games against SMU (Oct. 22) and East Carolina (Nov. 12) will be tape delayed at 7:00 p.m. (CT).
"TV47 is very happy and proud to be televising Golden Hurricane football this year. Coach Kragthorpe has obviously brought a winning attitude. Now, lets pack the stadium Saturday night and show the TV audience a full house," said Bill Paddock, General Manager of KWHB-TV47
The Houston, Rice, SMU, UTEP East Carolina and Tulane games will also be available on CSTV College Football All-Access. CSTV All-Access offers games from more than 90 schools and 13 different conferences.
Fans can access CSTV and Conference USA games by satellite [through DirecTV], on the DISH Network, and pay-per-view; with In Demand. There is a special Conference USA All-Access pay-per-view package available, with more than 55 Conference USA games. The package can be purchased as just a Tulsa Golden Hurricane package, the entire Conference USA or all of CSTV. In Tulsa, CSTV is not available on Cox, Charter or Cable One.
"We're excited with the opportunity to showcase our football team and program as part of the CSTV All-Access package. Our fans and alumni from around the country will now have an opportunity to consistently see our games via satellite on DISH and DirecTV," said Tulsa Head Coach Steve Kragthorpe.
"I'm especially excited for our fans who will not have the opportunity to travel to our away games, that now will be given the chance to see those games locally on TV47," Kragthorpe added. "It's great that Bill Paddock and KWHB-TV47 has stepped up and will be providing our local fans the opportunity of seeing our team, especially with televising the three road games. At home, we want our fans to come to the game and then later that day be able to watch the game on a tape delay basis on TV47."
Tulsa's game at Southern Mississippi, on Oct. 8, can be seen on CSTV Network. The game can be seen through DirecTV and on the DISH Network. In Tulsa, CSTV is not available on Cox, Charter or Cable One.
In addition, now anyone with a computer can watch the games online through CSTV's Conference USA All-Access broadband package. Information about this is available online at Tulsahurricane.com and at www.cstv.com.
