Tulsa-Minnesota Post-Game Quotes
Tulsa Head Coach Steve Kragthorpe:
Opening Statement
"I'm obviously disappointed that we lost the football game tonight. We cut the lead and got back to within 27-10 at one point. We turned the ball over far too many times and you can't do that against a good football team. The things we said we couldn't do coming into the game was give up big plays and turn the football over. We did those two things and consequently we didn't get on the right side of the scoreboard tonight."
"I thought David (Johnson) did some very good things. For his first game situation and his first opportunity to play in a Division I football game, he did a very good job. He managed the game well and did a good job of getting us in and out of the huddle. I think there area couple of balls he would like to have back, but I was really pleased. I've said all spring and fall that we had two quarterbacks that could play and I think we proved that tonight."
Tulsa Quarterback David Johnson: "It was tough in the beginning just to get into the flow and the speed of the game. It's a lot different than what we saw in practice and playing a big opponent like Minnesota. It's just kind of takes a few plays to get into the flow of the game."
"I wasn't nervous or anything. I knew the game plan pretty well, so I just went out an executed. You always have to be ready because you don't know what's going to happen. It's Division I college football and you have to be ready."
