Tulsa, Korbe Vault into First Place at Oklahoma Intercollegiate

Edmond, Oklahoma - The Tulsa men's golf team jumped into first-place after two rounds at the Inaugural Oklahoma Intercollegiate. The Hurricane carded a second round score of five-over par 289 to move ahead of the pack with a 594 total for 36 holes.
Tulsa holds a six-stroke lead heading into final round action on Tuesday at the par-71 Oak Tree Golf Club course.
LSU is in second place with a 600 total, followed by Baylor (606), first-round leader Ohio State (608), Oklahoma (609), Arkansas (612), Michigan (614) and SMU (618) rounding out the eight-team field.
For the Hurricane, senior Sam Korbe, entered the day in second place, but moved up one spot into the leaders' role with an even-par 71 for a 143 total. He holds a two-stroke lead over Oklahoma's Ben Blundell, who had one of the two 69s recorded today. Tulsa sophomore Nicolas Geyger also carded an even-par round of 71 on Monday and moved from 14th place to sixth-place in the individual standings with a two-day score of 148.
Senior Brett Myers is in 11th place with a 150 total after scoring a round of 73 today. Seniors Mitch Cohlmia and Ryan Henry shot identical rounds for the second straight day with 74s today and sit in a 16th-place tie with an 11-over par totals of 153.
Red-shirt freshman Ryan Brooks, playing as an individual, is in 33rd place in the field of 46 participants with a score of 157 after turning in a round of 73 today
Play will conclude on Tuesday with third round action.
