Houston, Texas - The University of Tulsa volleyball team could not overcome a .195 hitting percentage in a 3-0 (30-21, 30-22, 30-27) defeat by the Houston Cougars. The loss makes TU's record 22-6 on the season, 9-3 during Conference USA play. Houston improves to 16-11 and 7-5 in C-USA play.
Senior Germana Hilario led the TU attack with 10 kills. Junior Julia Silva posted another double-double with 31 assists and 10 digs. She narrowly missed her third triple-double with eight kills as well. Sophomore Kelsey Wood had a team-high 14 digs.
Tulsa will face Rice in a 1 p.m. Sunday afternoon match, before returning home for the final three regular season matches of the season.
