Cervi Named C-USA Defensive Player of the Week Again

Tulsa, Oklahoma - Tulsa senior Dominic Cervi was named the Conference USA Defensive Player of the Week for the Week of Oct. 8-14, as announced today by the league office. This is the second player of the week accolade this season for Cervi, as he picked up the honor on Sept. 24, and the third of his career.

A 6'6" goalkeeper from Norman, Okla., Cervi tallied 10 saves for a pair of shutouts last week as the Golden Hurricane picked up a 1-0 victory over 10th-ranked South Carolina and a 3-0 win over Kentucky.

Cervi has played all 1035:01 in goal for TU this season. He leads all C-USA goalies with four shutouts and has 49 saves for the third-best mark in the league.
