Tulsa's Clay Earns Freshman All-America Honors

Charles Clay was named to the Rivals.com All-America second-team as an all-purpose player.

Tulsa, Oklahoma - University of Tulsa freshman Charles Clay was named to the Rivals.com Freshman All-America second-team as an all-purpose player, it was announced by the site.

Clay, a true freshman from Little Rock (Ark.) Central High School, has had an outstanding season from his fullback/H-back spot. He has caught 52 passes for 843 yards and five touchdowns, while also rushing for 255 yards and a 5.2-yard average on 49 carries.

Clay has had two games with over 100 yards receiving and one game with 100+ rushing yards. He had five receptions for 102 yards against Marshall, and added 106 yards and one touchdown on five catches against SMU. He also had four games over 90 yards receiving, including a three-reception, 93-yard and three TD game against BYU.

The 6'3", 222-pounder had a 112-yard rushing game and one TD on 11 carries against UTEP for a season-high.
