Tulsa, Oklahoma - University of Tulsa Head Football Coach Todd Graham announced today the signing of Ohio High School offensive lineman Brandon Thomas to a national letter-of-intent.
Thomas, 6'5", 270 pounds, was a two-year letterwinner at Nordonia High School in Macedonia, Ohio. He was a starter at tight end and defensive end for Nordonia High School as a senior.
"Brandon has great potential. He has played tight end and defensive end in high school, but will move to offensive tackle for us," said Graham. "He's an athletic player with good size and strength, and will only continue to get bigger and stronger. We believe that Brandon has all the tools necessary to make the position switch and become an outstanding offensive lineman."
He earned second-team all-Western Reserve Conference all-league honors and helped lead his team to a 12-2 record and the Division II State Final Four, before losing in the semifinals.
Thomas was credited with 53 total tackles as a senior, including 36 solos, five stops for last years and three quarterback sacks. He was selected as the Most Improved Player of his team after his senior season.
