Tulsa Downs Brown at Blue Gray Classic

Montgomery, Ala. - The University of Tulsa's men's tennis team improved to 11-3 on the year after opening competition at the Blue Gray Classic in Montgomery, Ala., with a 4-0 win over No. 52 Brown.
The No. 26 ranked Hurricane took the early 1-0 lead by taking the doubles point with wins ate the two and three positions. The No. 41 ranked duo of Diego Camacho and Ross Cunningham opened the doubles point with an 8-3 win over No. 30 ranked Eric Thomas and Chris Lee. Andy Connelly and Lucques Maasdorp closed out the doubles point with an 8-5 win over Zach Pasanen and Saurabh Kohli.
TU continued its dominance into the singles competition, with Camacho giving the Hurricane a 2-0 lead with a 6-0, 6-2 win over Noah Gardner.
Ricardo Soriano pushed the TU lead to 3-0 with a 6-3, 6-2 win over Thomas, and Cunningham locked up the 4-0 win with a 7-6, 6-3 win over Pasanen.
The No. 26 ranked Hurricane will next be in action on Friday against the winner of the match-up between Texas Tech and VCU, which was delayed by rain and is being completed on Friday morning.
