Tulsa's Diles awarded Postgraduate Scholarship for Conference USA

Tulsa, Okla. - The University of Tulsa's Brandon Diles, a 2006 senior football player, was one of the 12 recipients of a Postgraduate Scholarship Award named today by Conference USA Commissioner Britton Banowsky. The conference annually presents the $4,000 Postgraduate Scholarship awards to graduates as selected by the Faculty Athletics Representatives and approved by the Board of Directors.
Diles excelled in both the classroom and on the field during his four years at The University of Tulsa. The four-year letterwinner at running back was named team captain as a senior. Diles was a semifinalist for the Draddy Trophy - the Academic equivalent to the Heisman Trophy. He was a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) for three years where he served as Vice-President of SAAC for two years. He also served as TU's C-USA SAAC representative during the same period.
Diles was a two-time selection to the C-USA Commissioner's Honor Roll. The Abilene, Texas, native earned his bachelor's degree in finance and will enter the University of Oklahoma's Intercollegiate Athletics Administration program in the fall.
