Becker Named First Team ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District

Tulsa's Alex Becker was named first team ESPN the Magazine Academic All-DIstrict.

Tulsa, Okla. - The University of Tulsa's Alex Becker has been named first team ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District in district VI as announced by CoSIDA on Thursday.

The sophomore from Guelph, Ontario, Canada, carries a 3.77 GPA in elementary education while leading the women's track team in the distance events.

Becker has also qualified for the finals of the 5,000m at the NCAA Championships following a sixth place finish in her heat during the preliminaries.

Becker was an All-American during the indoor season and has become the first TU athlete to qualify for the cross country, indoor and outdoor national meets in the same school year.
