Tulsa to Host SMU in Final Match of the Season

Tulsa, Oklahoma - The University of Tulsa women's soccer team will close out the season at home on Friday, Oct. 31st against SMU (6-11-1, 4-6 C-USA). Game time is set to begin at 7:00 p.m. at the Hurricane Soccer & Track Stadium. TU will honor seniors Rebecca Cowles, Kendall Harclerode and Rachel Robinson after the game.
The Golden Hurricane (7-9-3, 2-6-2 C-USA) will be led by Hannah Taylor and Jennifer Kacergis who have tallied six goals apiece, as well as Courtney Chadney and Sarah Greene who have scored three goals each. Seventeen TU players have scored a goal this season.
Harclerode has logged over 1,775 minutes in goal, totaled 82 saves, the third most in Conference USA, and allowed just 24 goals, the seventh-best in the league. She has also posted the second-most shutouts in C-USA with six.
The Tulsa women's soccer team leads all C-USA schools in goals (39), is third in points (100) and corners (94), fourth in shutouts (7), and is fifth in shots (263). TU also boasts single-game highs in points (27), goals (10), assists (7) and shots (40) among the league.
Of the 19 Tulsa women's soccer games this season, 12 have been decided by a shutout. TU won six of those decisions, including wins over Southern (10-0), Arkansas (1-0), McNeese State (3-0), Jackson State (10-0), Arkansas State (4-0) and #27 Colorado College (1-0). The five losses have been by an average 1.6 goals, while TU and Houston tied (0-0).
This will be the 25th meeting between the two schools, with the Mustangs owning a 21-2-1 advantage in the all-time series, including a win in last season's finale, a 1-0 decision in Dallas.
