Tulsa Track and Field Set to Host Annual Tulsa Duels

Tulsa, Okla. - The University of Tulsa track and field team will host its annual Tulsa Duels on Saturday, March 22 at the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium, with field events beginning at 9:30 a.m. and running events are slated for 1:30 p.m.
The Golden Hurricane will host Oral Roberts, Oklahoma State, Oklahoma, Missouri, Wichita State, as well as Langston, Northwest Missouri State and St. Gregory's.
The hammer throw will be contested on Friday evening at 4 p.m. in Stillwater, Okla., at Oklahoma State University.
The TU women will be led into the outdoor season by three-time All-American Alex Becker, who had the seventh fastest time in the nation in the indoor 3,000m. At the C-USA Indoor Championships, Becker accounted for 21 points for the Golden Hurricane with a first-place finish in the 3,000m, a second-place finish in the mile and was a member of the first-place distance medley relay team.
The Tulsa men's squad will be led by red-shirt freshman Mark Davidson, who posted 20 points for TU at the C-USA Indoor meet. Davidson posted a first-place finish in the 3,000m, placed second in the mile and was a member of the second-place distance medley relay team. Davidson recorded the fastest times in the mile and 3,000m in C-USA, as did Becker.
The Tulsa Duels will be the first outdoor meet for the Golden Hurricane this season and the only one to be at the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium.
