Tulsa, Oklahoma - The University of Tulsa and Boise State University have agreed to play a two-game home-and-home series in football, it was announced today by the two schools.

Tulsa will host the first game next season on October 3, 2009, while the Hurricane will return the trip to Boise on September 24, 2011.

"We are delighted to begin a series with Boise State University. Of the teams that do not automatically qualify for the BCS, Boise State has been able to sustain a highly competitive program over an extended number of years," said Tulsa Director of Athletics Bubba Cunningham.

The two schools have played four times before as together they were members of the Western Athletic Conference for four years (2001-04). The last meeting came in Tulsa in 2004 as the 18th-ranked Broncos pulled out a 45-42 victory.
