  • Tulsa captains were Tarrion Adams, David Johnson, Moton Hopkins, Mike Bryan and Kenny D. Sims.

  • Moton Hopkins started his 25th consecutive game at defensive end and offensive guard Justin Morsey started his 26th straight contest.

  • David Johnson's 6 touchdown passes is the most for a Hurricane quarterback since Gus Frerotte threw for 6 TDs against East Carolina on Nov. 6, 1993.

  • Tulsa scored on its first possession for the second consecutive week. It was also the second straight week that the Hurricane scored on its first two offensive possessions.

  • On his first carry of the game, senior running back Tarrion Adams gained five yards and moved into a tie for seventh-place on the school's all-time rushing list.

  • Jake Collums caught his first pass of the game for a 5-yard TD, giving him two catches on the season, both for TDs. It was also his eight reception of his career with five of those going for touchdowns. In the last two seasons, he now has five receptions for four TDs.

  • Tulsa's 32-point halftime margin was the most since the final game of the 2007 season against Bowling Green in the GMAC Bowl (35 points).

  • David Johnson accounted for five first half touchdowns (4 passing and 1 rushing) for the most in a first half since Paul Smith accounted for five TDs (4 passing and 1 rushing) against Houston last year (Nov. 10, 2007).

  • In the first six quarters this year, first-year starting quarterback David Johnson has thrown for seven touchdowns while completing 34-of-42 passes for 545 yards and for 81-completion percentage. He totaled three TD passes last week vs. UAB and four in the first half against North Texas.

  • In his first two games this year, David Johnson has completed 45-of-57 passes for 750 yards, 9 TDs and a .789 completion percentage.

  • Tulsa surpassed 500 yards of total offense for the second straight game. It was the 12th time in the last 16 games that the Hurricane had over 500 yards in total offense.

  • Johnson's six TD passes marks the fifth time in the last two years that the Tulsa quarterback has thrown for at least five TDs in a game.

  • Dating back to last year, Tulsa has scored over 45 points in seven of the last eight games.

  • Tulsa has now thrown for more than 300 yards in its last 16 games dating back to last year's season opener, and for over 400 yards in six of the last 16 games.

  • For the second straight week, Brennan Marion surpassed the 100-yard receiving plateau and for the eighth time in 16 career games.
