Tulsa's 29th-ranked men's soccer team captured a 4-2 win over Denver in the final regular-season non-conference game on Saturday night at the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium. The Golden Hurricane moved to 6-3-1 on the season, while the Pioneers fell to 3-4-2 overall.

Kilian Poeschk put TU on the board at the 5:06 mark off a rebound attempt by Austin Neil from just a yard out to take the early lead. Alex Tarnoczi countered with a goal in the 18th minute to tie the contest one-all going into the break.

Chris Taylor gave Tulsa an early second-half goal when he drilled in a penalty kick at the 46:24 mark, and Jose Parada gave the Golden Hurricane a two-goal cushion in the 72nd minute off a cross from Sidney Stewart.

Jarod Stigall pulled Denver to within one just two minutes later as he scored from 30 yards out, but Tulsa held off the Pioneers charge. Hunter Christiansen put TU up again by two goals on a combination from Joe Salem to Parada to Christiansen from 18 yards out.

TU finished with 18 shots on the night, 10 of which were on goal, and had 10 corner kicks. Andy Aguilar logged all 90 minutes in goal and picked up five saves.

The Golden Hurricane will return to action at Kentucky on Wednesday, October 7th.
