  • Tulsa game captains were senior Mike Bryan and sophomore G.J. Kinne.
  • Freshman Brian DeShane made his second start of the season at left guard. This marks the eighth different starting lineup on Tulsa's offensive line in 12 games.
  • Tulsa wore the yellow uniforms with blue helmets for the second time this season. The previous game was Tulsa's home opener against Sam Houston State. The blue helmets sported a brand new hurricane logo instead of the traditional "Tulsa" moniker.
  • Junior Trae Johnson capped Tulsa's opening drive with a 23-yard touchdown reception from Kinne. Johnson now has 23 career touchdowns tying him with Garrett Mills (2002-05) for fourth place on Tulsa's all-time receiving touchdown chart.
  • Trae Johnson's touchdown also moved him into 14th on the C-USA career receiving touchdown chart.
  • On his first attempt of the game, junior Michael Such booted an 83-yard punt. It was the third longest in Tulsa history behind a pair of 87-yard punts (Ken Duncan vs. Wichita State in 1969 and Glenn Dobbs vs. Oklahoma in 1942).
  • Freshman Trent Wilkins blocked a punt at the 1:33 mark of the second quarter. It was Tulsa's first blocked punt of the season.
  • Senior James Lockett recorded his first career interception in overtime.
  • Tulsa's overtime win was the team's first overtime appearance since November 11, 2006 when Tulsa lost to Rice 41-38.
  • The last time Tulsa played Memphis at home resulted in a 37-31 victory in overtime during the 2005 season.
  • Tulsa is now 3-3 in overtime games.
  • Sophomore Kevin Fitzpatrick kicked the game-winning field goal in overtime. It was his fourth field goal of the game, a new career high for a single game. His previous high was three field goals Tulane earlier this season.
  • G.J. Kinne completed 27 of 40 passes for 268 yards. His season tally of 2,732 yards placed him in seventh on Tulsa's single-season passing yards chart surpassing T.J. Rubley (1988) for ninth, Josh Blankenship (2000) for eighth and Paul Smith (2006) for seventh.
  • Kinne threw three touchdown passes which gave him 22 on the season. That ties for the fifth best single-season mark by a Tulsa quarterback with T.J. Rubley (1989) and James Kilian (2003).
  • Kinne finished the season with a team-leading 393 rushing yards. This marks the third time that a Tulsa quarterback has led the team in rushing. He joins Mike Stripling (307 yards in 1968) and Clyde LeForce (290 yards in 1943).
  • Junior Michael Such averaged a season-high 57.7 average on three punts. His previous high was 48.7 yards on six punts against New Mexico (9/12).
  • Sophomore Damaris Johnson had 75 kickoff return yards on three attempts. He finished the season with 1,131 kickoff return yards. That tied Ashlan Davis for second most on Tulsa's single-season chart. Johnson set the single-season record last year with 1,382 kickoff return yards.
  • Damaris Johnson tallied 171 all-purpose yards pushing him beyond the 5,000-yard mark for his career. He finished the season with 5,099 career all-purpose yards and is currently ranked seventh on the C-USA all-time chart. Johnson surpassed Kevin Smith (UCF/2005-07) with today's performance.
