Tulsa Golfers In 11th Place at National Invitational Tournament

Tucson, Arizona - The Tulsa men's golf team sits in 11th place after two rounds today at the National Invitational Tournament on the OMNI Tucson National Course in Tucson, Arizona. TU shot a 290 in the first round and a 296 in the second round for a 586 total.
New Mexico is in first place with a two-round 560 total, three strokes ahead of second-place UNLV, and eight strokes ahead of Arizona and TCU, which are tied for third place with 568 totals. Kent State rounds out the top five teams with a 572 score.
Hurricane senior Nicolas Geyger leads TU with an even par 144 for 25th place, while classmate Rob Laird is one stroke back in 33rd place. Freshman Arie Fauzi and Andre' Tourinho are tied for 60th place, but Tourinho is competing as an independent in this tournament. Stephen Carney is in 67th place with a 151 and senior Ryan Brooks is in 71st place with a 152 score.
Arizona's Philip Bagdade and New Mexico's Nick Geyger lead the individual race with seven-under par 137 scores.
The tournament will conclude tomorrow with the final 18 holes.
