Fayetteville, Arkansas - Three University of Tulsa women's track athletes will compete on the first day of the 2009 NCAA Division I Men's and Women's Outdoor Track Championships at John McDonnell Field.
A total of five Tulsa athletes will compete at the NCAA event this year. It is the most athletes to qualify for the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championship in school history. Tulsa sent three athletes in 2000 and 2007.

At the NCAA regional, three Tulsa runners qualified for the national event as Montgomery placed fifth in the 400-meter hurdles with a new personal-best mark of 58.71, which was also the second-best time in program history.
