Tulsa Post-Game Notes vs. SMU
- SMU won the toss and elected to receive. It snapped a streak of three games that Tulsa had won the toss and deferred each game.
- Tulsa scored on its first offensive possession for the third straight game after going the first three games of the season failing to score on its first possession.
- Dexter McCoil had his third interception of the season and the fourth of his two-year career.
- Cory Dorris had his third career fumble recovery in the second quarter.
- Kevin Fitzpatrick moved up to eighth-place on the school's career field goals made list with his 24th career field goal, tying Chris Earnest (1998-01).
