GENERAL NOTES

• Tulsa won the toss and deferred to the second half. UTEP received the opening kickoff and defended the south end zone.

• Tulsa was led on to the field by Coach Todd Graham and longtime Golden Hurricane Club member Charles Harper.

TEAM NOTES

• Tulsa compiled 543 yards marking the 31st time to surpass 500 yards under Coach Todd Graham.

• The victory was Tulsa's fifth consecutive of the season. That matches the second-longest winning streak under Coach Todd Graham (2007) and is only behind Tulsa's 8-0 start to the 2008 season.

PLAYER NOTES

• At the 14:55 mark of the third quarter, Damaris Johnson returned a kickoff for 25 yards to move him past Brandon West (Western Michigan/2006-09) for most career kickoff return yards in NCAA history. He later added a 62-yard kickoff return and finished the game with 3,202 career kickoff return yards.

• Damaris Johnson had 280 all-purpose yards. It was his 17th career game with 200 or more all-purpose yards and fourth game this season. It was also his third highest total of the season.

• Damaris Johnson now has 7,249 career all-purpose yards and is fourth on the NCAA career all-purpose yards chart. He moved past seventh-place Chris Johnson (East Carolina/2004-07), sixth-place Antonio Brown (Central Michigan/2007-09), fifth-place Napoleon McCallum (Navy/1981-85) and fourth-place Ricky Williams (Texas/1995-98).

• Damaris Johnson also moved past Chris Johnson (East Carolina/2004-07) to claim second place on the C-USA career all-purpose yards chart.

• Damaris Johnson is the seventh player in NCAA FBS history to surpass 7,000 career all-purpose yards.

• Damaris Johnson caught six passes for 146 yards. It was his 10th career 100-yard receiving game and second 100-yard game this season. Johnson is now tied with Brennan Marion (2007-08) for fourth most career 100-yard games in Tulsa history.

• Damaris Johnson now has 2,608 receiving yards. He moved past Wes Caswell (1993-98) into fourth on Tulsa's career receiving yards chart.

• G.J. Kinne threw for 325 yards and two touchdowns. It was his seventh career 300-yard passing game. That moves him into sole possession of second on Tulsa's all-time 300-yard passing chart (David Johnson/2005-08) and behind Paul Smith (2003-07) who has 14 career 300-yard passing games.

• Kinne now has 2,901 passing yards this season. He passed Paul Smith (2006), his 2009 total, Smith (2005), Jerry Rhome (1964) and Gus Frerotte (1993), and is now fourth on Tulsa's all-time season passing yards chart.

• Kinne now has 5,633 career passing yards. He moved past Gus Frerotte (1990-93) into fourth on Tulsa's all-time passing yards chart.

• Kinne now has 6,535 career yards of total offense. He moved past John Fitzgerald (1994-98) into third on Tulsa's all-time total offense chart.

• Charles Clay caught three passes for 42 yards and one touchdown. He now has 2,472 career receiving yards and moved past Donald Shoals (1999-2001) into sixth on Tulsa's career receiving yards chart.

• Clay's receiving touchdown gives him 38 total touchdowns for his career. He is one touchdown shy of tying Tarrion Adams (2005-08) for Tulsa's all-time record.

• At the 12:09 mark of the second quarter, true freshman Thomas Roberson caught a 44-yard pass from G.J. Kinne. It was the longest catch of his career.

• Roberson ended the game with 55 receiving yards. He moved past Tarrion Adams (2005) and Clay Martin (1994) for seventh on Tulsa's freshman single-season receiving yards chart. Roberson now has 294 receiving yards this season.

• Dexter McCoil's interception at the 1:40 mark of the fourth quarter was his fifth of the season.

• Cory Dorris blocked Dakota Warren's field goal attempt at the 1:26 mark of the 2nd quarter. It was his second block this season including a blocked PAT attempt against Notre Dame (10/30/10).
