TU Lettermen's Association Hosts Spring Letter Awards Presentation

Tulsa, Okla. - The TU Lettermen's Association hosted the Spring Letter Award Presentation on March 29, 2010 at 6:30 p.m. in the ONEOK Club Lounge located in H.A. Chapman Stadium. The evening began with a welcome from Director of Athletics Bubba Cunningham followed by remarks from TU Lettermen's Association President Kate Jones, awarding of Letters and a special video to end the evening entitled "Honor of Receiving a TU Letter" featuring former TU Letter winners Ellis Jenkins (Basketball 1953-1955), Sara (Dyer) Whaley (Softball 2004-2008) and Brandon Diles (Football 2003-2006).
Sixteen Golden Hurricane athletic programs were represented with Letter jackets and blankets given out by Men's Soccer Coach Tom McIntosh, Women's Soccer Coach Kyle Cussen, Men's Basketball Coach Doug Wojcik, Men and Women's Track & Field/Cross Country Coach Steve Gulley, Men's Golf Coach Bill Brogden, Softball Coach John Bargfeldt, Football Coach Todd Graham, Volleyball Coach Ed Allen, Rowing Coach Kevin Harris and Associate Athletic Director Ross Parmley for Men and Women's Tennis. In all, over 100 student-athletes received their Varsity Letter Award for the first time during this special evening.
The next Student-Athlete Letter Award Presentation will take place in fall 2010.
