TULSA, Okla. - The University of Tulsa track and field teams continue the outdoor season when they head to the John McDonnell Invitational on Saturday in Fayetteville, Ark.
The Hurricane has sent athletes to three meets so far this season, but this will be the first time that they will have a full squad competing at an outdoor event.
Last week, Tulsa posted seven first-place finishes at the Oklahoma Christian Ray Vaughn Classic. Kelsey Klein turned in a pair of gold medal performances in the hammer throw (45.62m) and discus (39.02m) with marks that placed her fourth on the school's all-time records list in both events.
Justin Duncan won the Jerry Thompson Invitational Mile-Run in 4:05.03, and Carl Stones placed sixth in the 3,000m steeplechase with a personal-best time of 9:14.41 at the Texas Relays last weekend.
