Tulsa, Oklahoma -

The Tulsa women's soccer team demolished John Brown, 4-0, in an exhibition contest on Monday night at the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium. The Golden Hurricane will begin regular season play against Northwestern State on Friday, Aug. 20th beginning at 7:35 p.m.

Kelsey Killion, a freshman forward from Broken Arrow, Okla., netted two goals in the contest, with her first coming in the 14th minute and her second in the 54th minute. She led TU with six shots, three of which were on goal.

Miranda Zoller, a freshman from Sapulpa, Okla., recorded a goal in the 40th minute, giving the Golden Hurricane a two-goal cushion heading into the break, while sophomore Rachel Garcia, from Rockwall, Texas, headed in the final goal of the night at the 70:29 mark.

TU out-shot JBU, 22-4, including a 14-2 advantage in shots-on-goal. Katie Bykowski logged 61:09 in goal and picked up two saves, while Chelsea Smith earned nearly 29 minutes in goal.
