TULSA FOOTBALL ANNOUNCES SPRING PRACTICE DATES

Tulsa, Oklahoma - The University of Tulsa Head Football Coach Bill Blankenship has announced spring practice dates for the Golden Hurricane football team. Tulsa, ranked 24th in the final 2010 Associated Press poll, returns 10 starters on offense and eight starters to the defensive side of the ball.
Tulsa will begin 2011 Spring Drills with two practice sessions before spring break and 13 of the allowed 15 days of spring practice following the week break. The Hurricane will take the field the on Tuesday, March 8th for the first time since winning the Sheraton Hawai'i Bowl with a 62-35 victory over 24th-ranked Hawai'i on December 24th. Tulsa's second practice will take place on Thursday, March 10th and will be the final practice session before spring break.
Tulsa will return to the field on March 22nd to begin a stretch of practices that fall on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and one Friday. The spring season will culminate with the Annual Spring Game, which is open to the public.
Practices are closed.
The Spring FanFest and Game will take place this year on Friday night, April 15th. Game time is 7:00 pm. Food, games and exciting Tulsa football will take place at H.A. Chapman Stadium as fans can get their first glimpse of new head coach Bill Blankenship's Golden Hurricane football team. Admission is free.
