Junior Tom Marshall ran a 4:00.74 mile Friday

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - Junior Tom Marshall won the Mile in 4:00.74 at the Arkansas Last Chance meet Friday at Randal Tyson Track Center.

The mark was the third-fastest in school history and the 22nd-best time in the NCAA this year.

Marshall bested Scott Gillespie of Arkansas by .59 seconds, and Oklahoma State's German Fernandez finished third.

Freshman Brian Tabb finished sixth in 4:18.06.

The spring campaign is set to get underway for TU with the Tulsa Duels March 19.
