FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - Two members of The University of Tulsa track and field teams picked up event titles Friday at the Arkansas Twilight at John McDonnell Field.

Senior Kelsey Klein won the Hammer with a distance of 49.92m. She also finished second in the Discus with a mark of 42.92m.

This is the second time this outdoor season that Klein has won the Hammer, as she also took top honors at the Razorback Invitational April 2.

Sophomore Chris O'Hare won the 800 meters for the second time this season (John Jacobs Invitational, April 16). He ran a personal-best time of 1:49.01, which was also the third-fastest time in school history. His mark was also the 29th-best mark posted in the NCAA this year.

Senior Justin Duncan finished third in the same event, just .02 seconds behind Daniel Pessing, who finished second running unattached. Duncan posted a personal-best time of 1:49.38, which was the fourth-fastest time in school history and the 37th-fastest time in the nation this year.

Freshman Brian Tabb paced the event, but did not complete the race.

Senior Casey Fanning placed third in the Javelin with a distance of 50.65m. Sophomore Derek Eidt placed 18th in the 1,500 meters with a time of 4:07.72.

The Golden Hurricane returns to action at the 2011 Conference USA Championships May 12-15 in Houston, Texas.
