TU Alum Kyle Grooms Named Director of Football Operations

Tulsa, Oklahoma - Former University of Tulsa football student-athlete Kyle Grooms was appointed as the Director of Football Operations for the Golden Hurricane, it was officially announced today by Head Coach Bill Blankenship.
Since earning his master's degree from TU in 2010, Grooms spent the past year working for Caption Colorado, a real time closed captioning business in Greenwood Village, Colorado.
Grooms originally came to The University of Tulsa as a walk-on football athlete in 2003 and after red-shirting that season played in 44 games. He was put on scholarship in his junior season. The receiver completed his career with 12 receptions for 111 yards and three touchdowns. As a senior in 2007, Grooms caught six passes for 56 yards with two going for TDs.
A native of Denver, Colorado, Grooms received his bachelor's degree from TU in business in 2008. He also earned a master's degree in business in 2010, while working as a graduate assistant in the Tulsa athletics office for two years.
