Tulsa Golfer Arie Fauzi Named as All-America Scholar

Tulsa, Oklahoma - University of Tulsa senior-to-be golfer Arie Fauzi was selected as a Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholar for the 2010-11 season, it was announced today by the Gold Coaches Association of America (GCAA).
A total of 138 players were selected as Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholars. Fauzi has maintained a 3.70 grade point average in business.
Fauzi, from Selangor, Malaysia, had four top-20 performances on the season and tallied a 74.8 stroke average in 33 rounds. He had a career-best fifth place finish at the Rod Myers Invitational. In his career, Fauzi has placed among the top-25 13 times and earned Conference USA all-freshman team accolades in 2009.
Fauzi is the 16th male golfer in school history to earn GCAA All-America Scholar honors.
To be eligible for Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholar status an individual must be a junior or senior academically, compete in at least two full years at the collegiate level, participate in 70-percent of his team's competitive rounds or compete in the NCAA Championships, have a stroke-average under 76.0 and maintain a minimum cumulative 3.2 grade point average. A recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at his college or university.
